Red Cross Workplace Emergency First Aid (OFA Level 1) Course outline The Red Cross Workplace Emergency First Aid (WEFA) certificate is accepted by WorkSafe BC as equivalent to Occupational First Aid Level 1 (OFA Level 1). Further information about equivalency can be found here: First Aid certificates accepted in B.C. workplaces. WEFA is specifically designed for adults in the workplace. It is a modified version of the national Emergency First Aid course, designed to meet the needs of BC workplaces. WEFA is a nationally accepted workplace First Aid program.
